Members provide instruction courses for users of the Collard Bridge Scout Camp site and run Scout Sundays once a month for Scouts from North Devon to develop their skills.

SCOUTS AND SHOOTING

Scouts have been shooting since 1911 when the Duke of Connought donated a trophy to be shoot for by scout teams. This shield is still shot for by Scouts a 100 years later at the National Scout Rifle Championships hosted by the NSRA at Bisley.

In recent years, North Devon Scouts have been successful, winning several individual national titles and the 3P shield for the last three years. The 1st North Devon Scout Group  won the Junior Connought Shield in 2009.
