District Beaver Quiz and DC’s Challenge
There are certainly some bright Beavers in the District, judging by the answers that were given on Saturday afternoon. The 60 questions ranged from easy to quite difficult – even for some of the adults present
This is an annual event, organised by 1st Fremington and held at their HQ. It was good to see so many children as well as parents enjoying themselves.
Winners were the 1st Bratton Fleming .
Mike Hedges (D.C.) also judged the DC’s Challenge now in its second year. The challenge to ‘build a typical Devon village’ was considered quite difficult, but something that a lot of youngsters could participate in. Only 4 colonies submitted models for judging
The standard was very high and Mike said “ that it was very difficult to come to a decision therefore this year there will be joint winners”
These were 1st Tawstock and 1st Fremington .
Runners up were 1st Chivenor and 1st North Devon
